Poster Design

The design brief was to create a poster for the Dawson College Graphic Design class of 2016/17 that expressed the spirit of the year. The typography was based off of increments of the fibonacci sequence and expresses a poem by Robert Frost. The poem is both an illusion to the transitory nature of youth and the classic novel the Outsiders with the title Stay Gold. If chosen, the chunk of raw gold on the poster would have transformed to the word GOLD in Didot font, on the otherwise blank cover of the vernissage catalogue, hinting at the transition from the raw to a polished designer in the three years spent at Dawson College.
